‘Color Theory’, Band Vintage Rock Asal Bali Yang Baru Merilis Mini Album
Cadaaz.com – Color Theory adalah sebuah permufakatan rock yang berasal dari Gianyar, Bali. Color Theory di gawangi oleh empat musisi pulau dewata yang senang mengkulik dan memadukan sound – sound vintage untuk di jadikan sebuah warna musik tersendiri bagi mereka. Adalah Boby Aghastya (Vokal & Guitar), Adhika Mahardika (Guitar), Krisnayana (Bass) dan Arikandika (Drum) Empat musisi yang merupakan nafas dari eksistensi Color Theory sejak awal tahun 2015 lalu.
Boby, Adhika, Krisnayana dan Arikandika merupakan teman sepermainan dengan selera musik yang berbeda – beda antara satu sama lain. Namun berhasil memadukan dan membuat musik sendiri untuk Color Theory. Secara garis besar Color Theory mengusung genre rock yang menawarkan karakter sound distorsi yang Crunch namun berat untuk mengawal riff – riff blues ala Color Theory. Nuansa vintage yang di bangun lewat notasi lagu yang kembali ke tahun 70’an membuat musik dan karya – karya Color Theory di EP perdana mereka yang berjudul “Four Horsemen” menjadi EP yang menarik untuk di simak.
Pada tanggal 4 Juni 2016 lalu Color Theory resmi merilis EP “Four Horseman” di Soul Kitchen, Denpasar. Album “Four Horseman” ini berisikan empat lagu Antara lain Lucifer’s Vulture, Four Horseman, Hades dan Maggotism Antem. Secara garis besar album ini bercerita tentang mitologi four horseman yaitu empat penunggang kuda dimana setiap penunggangnya mewakili hal negatif menuju kiamat yaitu : perang, kelaparan, wabah dan kematian. Hal ini merupakan sindiran terhadap gaya hidup, keserakahan, ketidakadilan, serta konflik internal dan external yang terjadi di kehidupan masa kini.
Para personil Color Theory mengaku banyak terinspirasi secara musikal dari band – band seperti Radio Moscow, John Mayer, The Doors, Graveyard, Old Man’s Will, Pink Floyd dan lain – lain. Color Theory merupakan salah satu group dari group band berbakat yang berasal dari pulau dewata Bali. Semangat kemandirian telah membuat mereka berhasil menyelesaikan EP yang jadi ujung tombak eksistensi mereka di industri musik Indonesia ini.
